 Fabric Sofa Care

Fabric sofas are a great choice for the family home offering durability and versatility, with a huge range of styles and designs to choose from.

Additional extras such as foam seat interiors and scatter cushions will mean you can't wait to sink into your sofa at the end of a long day.

Different types of fabrics require special care, but there are a few things you can do to ensure you and your fabric enjoy a long and happy relationship.

Foam and Fibre

Whether you choose soft fibre fitted seat interiors or a firmer foam seat interior, it's important to keep them in good condition to ensure that every time you sit on your sofa you can relax in comfort, like you would with pillows on your bed.

Foam filled cushions start life with a firmer appearance , but within a few months of use they will soften. This is a natural process. If you have foam filled cushions and seats, help them to age at a time rate by using them equally. If you have chosen a fabric sofa with fixed back cushions and arm pads, smooth out any creases daily to maintain the best look and shape.

Protect your Sofa

Sofas require protection from the sun, just like we do. If you are planning to place your sofa near a window, always try to keep the curtains or blinds dipped when the sun is at it's strongest, this will help from the fabric fading.

Stains SOS

Accidents do happen and however hard we try, spillages can occur. But they can easily be taken care of to minimise the risk of permanent stains.

Take a kitchen roll or clean towel to soak up as much of the excess spill as possible, remember to pat the area, taking extra care not to rub the spill.

Consult your manufacturer care guide of how to clean the fabric.

Always plump up your seat, scatter and back cushions each day to give the maximum benefit of your fabric sofa.
